ARTIST MELISSA A. LAMBERT
Melissa A Lambert is a self-taught artist who creates using a digital drawing tablet and a variety of other digital tools. Her process involves reading books on science while listening to music on random. Everything from classical to blues to opera, singer-songwriter, and French rap, affects how she produces her artwork. She is influenced by visual artists such as Kahlo, Kadinsky, Klee, Rothko, Van Gogh, Dorothea Tanning and Remedios Varo, as well as by the fantastical discoveries of particle physics, superstring, brain, biotic theory, and Eastern spirituality. Melissa has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Los Angeles and Japan, and in 2014, received a commendation by West Hollywood City Council for 1st place in “Find Your Roots” International Juried competition. Her work is in the collections of prominent art and celebrity collectors.
