FEB 10, 2018: COCKTAILS AND THE RAT PACK

Celebrate Valentine's Day in an original Richard Dorman FAIA mid-century residence with museum educator and trained chef Maite Gomez-Rejon of ArtBites as she traces the rise of entertaining in 1950's America, and how modern architecture, furniture and objects played a role in home cocktail parties. With Maite's guidance, prepare hors d'oeuvres and libations that would have made Frank, Dean and Sammy proud, then enjoy the party to tunes by old blue eyes.

Ms. Gomez-Rejon has an MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago, and has lectured at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, J. Paul Getty Museum, and LACMA, among other cultural institutions. She also holds a Grand Diplome from the French Culinary Institute, and has worked as a private chef, and in restaurants in France and Mexico.
