DINNER WITH JACKSON POLLOCK
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2017 (3:00 PM - 6:00 PM)
Don't miss this opportunity to learn from museum educator and trained chef Maite Gomez-Rejon of ArtBites as she "takes us" back in time to the other coast to visit the poets, painters and musicians that made up the New York School in the 1950s. Explore the works of art and movements that influenced them, then with Maite's guidance, prepare and enjoy a casual dinner inspired by the cookbook Dinner with Jackson Pollock (yes, Pollock was quite the baker and entertainer!), while immersed in an artistic, mid-century aesthetic that Pollock and his friends would have appreciated. ~ Ms. Gomez-Rejon has an MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago, and has lectured at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, J. Paul Getty Museum, and Los Angeles County Museum of Art, among other cultural institutions. She also holds a Grand Diplome from the French Culinary Institute, and has worked as a private chef, and in restaurants in France and Mexico.
Limited capacity (10). $200 Includes dinner and drinks. Purchase as a single salon or "Art/Arch Bundle" for a discount. (This one and Mid-Century California which can be split for a gift.)
